What is the Power Panel Community?

Power Panel is a community that gives a platform to people from different walks of life to share their views on different matters. Our members have the opportunity to impact some of the largest brands nationwide and get rewarded at once. Tell leading providers of products and services your opinion and earn rewards by participating in surveys and by sharing your views through studies created directly on PowerPanel.co.za.

What are Power Panel points?

Points are a form of virtual currency awarded to Power Panel members for various responses, these involves: to take part in surveys; completing profile surveys and engaging in community content. When you have acquired enough points, you may redeem them for rewards.

How do I become a member?

To be part of Power Panel is easy, you just click and sign up. You will be asked to give some basic information when creating your account. A confirmation email will be sent to you to complete your registration. You must click the link in this email to confirm your registration on Power Panel. Upon completion of your registration, you can start participating in surveys to get rewarded.

Do you charge for registration?

Registration to Power Panel is free of charge – Not only will you never be asked to pay, but just by answering our surveys and engaging in fun community activities like content, you will earn points that can be traded for vouchers. Every service that our site offers is free of charge, and for participation in most Power Panel activities, you will be awarded points.

What is required from me?

We expect to receive your valuable and honest opinion when completing surveys. If we spot some inconsistencies in the answers you provide we will consider that you are not interested to express your views to make an impact therefore we will stop sending you invitations.

Why should I join the panel?

Because Power Panel is a fulfilling platform where panellists get rewarded for sharing their views and opinions on various products and services provided by brands nationwide.

Why does Power Panel ask for personal information such as name and address?

We require from members personal information such as your name, address, gender, birthday and employment status to send market research projects that are suitable to your profile. This data is also used for the purposes of incentive fulfilment so that we may send your reward to the relevant beneficiary address. Additional personal information that you may be asked to supply to us is purely for market research studies. Read our Privacy Policy to know more.

PROFILE

How can I update my personal information?

Log in, then visit the My Account tab at the top of the page. Select from the link on the page to update your personal details. Simply make the necessary changes and click SAVE to confirm.

How do I change my email address and password?

Log in, then visit the “My Account” tab at the top of the page. Click on the “Change your password” link, enter your new password, and click “SAVE’ to complete the process.

Your email address can be changed only by the panel manager, please send a request via using the “Contact Us” tab.

How can I cancel my account?

To cancel your account please send a request via the “Contact Us” tab.

At the bottom of the e-mails, you will receive from the Power Panel you will have the “Unsubscribe” link. You will then have the option of unsubscribing from emails while remaining a Power Panel member (in this case you must visit the site to take part in surveys) or completely canceling your account. Please note that if you choose to cancel your account, your points will be forfeited, and you will no longer be able to redeem them.

SURVEYS PARTICIPATION

What if I experience technical difficulties?

If you experience a technical difficulty with a survey, often, by waiting a while and trying again later, the problem will be resolved. If you still have the same issue, please report it to us at info@powerpanel.co.za by sending the Survey ID and a screen shot, if possible.

Why is the survey full when I just received the invitation a short time ago?

This takes place occasionally if a survey is producing notable responses than expected. Also, the invitations aren’t necessarily distributed right away by your email service provider.

What are profile surveys and where can I find them?

Profile Surveys can be obtained from the “My Account” menu in the header. Profile Surveys are organised to help us improve the level of service we deliver and enable us to send you surveys that match your profile.

How can I participate in surveys on Power Panel?

Once your registration is completed you can confirm your email by clicking on the link you receive in your mailbox. If a survey matches your profile, you will receive an invitation by email or see the surveys available in the “Survey List” menu on Power Panel. Keep in mind that the more updated your Profile Surveys are, the more possibility you have of being invited to take part in surveys you are eligible for.

How long does it take to complete a survey?

Survey length is strictly dependent on the study. Generally the length of surveys is between 10 and 15 minutes and once in a while, we might require more of your time. Keep in mind that survey reward is often connected to the time it takes for the completion of the survey.

Will Power Panel try to sell me something?

No, under no circumstances will surveys be used to sell or promote a product, nor will you receive any advertising or promotional material as a result of joining the Power Panel community.

Why does Power Panel keep asking the same questions in almost every survey?

The profiling process is an ongoing one. This allows our clients to make marketing decisions based on current attributes responses from each member.

What happens to my answers when I don’t qualify for a survey?

When you do not qualify for a survey, your responses cannot be used in the final research findings, and therefore are never transferred to our clients. Power Panel will never use or transfer these responses for internal use. As the details you entered is incomplete and cannot be used for our client’s research, you will not receive points when you have not concluded the survey.

SURVEYS ON MOBILE

Who can join?

Anyone who is a member of Power Panel and has indicated their mobile phone number on the Power Panel.com site can take part in surveys on mobile.

Are surveys only sent via SMS?

Few surveys are sent via SMS for specific projects. For most surveys you can participate via email invites or from our website.

PRIVACY

What is done with the information I provide upon registration?

Your profile data is stored on our secure server that allows only Power Panel to call upon those members who match specific criteria to participate in surveys. This query is totally automated and members are contacted via email by Power Panel to participate in our secure surveys. All responses are held in aggregate, which means that individual feedback are not connected to personally identifiable information. The information you supply will not be disclosed or used to advertise. You are not responsible for paying any product or service at any time, nor will any company request you to do so as a result of joining the community.

What constitutes personal data?

Personal data is any information related to a Power Panel Influencer that can be used to directly or indirectly identify the user. Personal data can be anything from a name, a photo, an email address, bank details, posts on social networking websites, medical information, a device IP address or a mobile device ID. Power Panel will always take special care to ensure that all personal information you share with us is protected at all times. We strongly discourage you from disclosing any of your personal data in any public forum or community area on the site that you do not wish to make available to the public.

Do I have full control of my data?

Yes, at any moment you can change your details or opt out from our services data by logging into your Power Panel Account or by sending us an email request via the Contact Us form.

POINTS & REWARDS

How many points can I earn?

There is no limit to how many points you can accumulate on Power Panel as there is no limit to how much you can influence your world with Power Panel.

Do points have to be used within a certain time limit?

Yes. When points are credited to your account, they will remain valid for 12 months. If after this period the points have not been used, they will automatically expire and be deleted from your account. Your points will not expire all at once, instead, points will expire 12 months after you originally earned them.

How can I check my points balance?

Click on the “My Points” tab. The Points page allows you to view the actions that have earned you points, your current balance and how you’ve spent your points so far. On your dashboard, you are also able to see your points balance.

How long will it take to receive my reward once ordered?

It takes up to 4 weeks for delivery. When you redeem your points for a reward you will be requested to confirm your details (e.g email address). Before you confirm your purchase, please ensure all your information is correct to avoid any delays in delivery.

How will I receive my rewards?

This depends on the type of reward.

Electronic vouchers (e-vouchers) will be posted directly to your Power Panel account, or in some circumstances, to the email address indicated in your account at the moment you place an order.

How to earn points?

First, you must be a registered Power Panel member with a verified email address to begin accumulating points. Once your registration is finalised, you can earn points by completing surveys found here on Power Panel or through invites you receive via email.

Forgotten password?

No worries, visit the Power Panel portal, and under the “Log in” box click on the option “Lost password?”. You will be asked to provide the email address associated with your Power Panel account and receive a reset password email with a link that will remain valid for 24 hours. Following this link will allow you to create a new password for Power Panel.

Who are Power Panel’s clients? What are their purposes?

How does Power Panel manage collected information?

Power Panel takes strict measures to ensure every aspect of your information is kept secure. Power Panel only supplies information to clients in an anonymised and aggregated form for use in market research and for the client’s own internal purposes. Power Panel does not use Direct Marketing and will never disclose your details with telemarketers or ad agencies for marketing purposes.
